Just wanted to post a quick note that if you’re planning on sewing from the June 2020 issue of BurdaStyle, make sure you check the project carefully before starting. In the past week I’ve sewn three projects and every one had an error or quirk of some sort:
- Burda 6/2020 #114 Top: the stitching at the side seam which creates the armhole starts WAY too low. The entire side of my bra was visible when I tried it on. I ended up sewing it a good 3-4″ up from the marking indicated on the pattern. I normally have zero armhole issues with Burda.
- Burda 6/2020 #110 Skirt: the waistband pieces are mislabeled. #7 is actually the left front waistband and #8 is the right front and back waistband. I spent way too long trying to figure out why nothing was matching up correctly until I realized they were mislabeled in the instructions.
- Burda 6/2020 #108 Dress: this one actually seemed ok, but I thought I should mention that it was possible for me to cut the belt as one long piece instead of piecing together two shorter pieces per the Burda instructions. Not sure if this applies to all sizes, but it worked for my size 38 dress.
